Please let us change icon layouts or icon sizes for folders.
OneUI 2 and 2.5 had 4 icons across, and it was a vertical free-scroll.
OneUI 3.0 is now 3 icons across, wasted space, icons too big, and a horizontal page scroll.
I can't find a way to change it, but much preferred the 4 icons across.
Can we have layout options like we do for home screen and app screen?

Hi everyone,
I can only add myself to the list of people super annoyed by this backwards change. Like most people here, I don't see why we can't choose to have 3 or 4 icons across, whichever the user prefers to have. I keep hitting the wrong app now because icons are not at the same place they were for years. Better, in some folders, I carefully chose which apps were directly available without having unnecessary clicks or sliding to do, all of it ruined right now.
I'm a professional ergonomist (15 years since I'm doing this job), and trust me, allowing user preference to be chosen is most of the times the good choice. Especially when something was possible before and is not anymore, for not plausible reason.

I too made an account here just to agree with this.
I have prob 200 apps and I have them all organized in folders. This new update is ridiculous, our phones are twice as big as they used to be and we are going back to showing 3 apps per row. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! WORST UPDATE OF ALL TIME!
If anything this update should included and option to increase the number per rows.

Same here...fix it already...new 3x4 layout for folders is retarded

For as long as this took to roll out to the note 20 ultra it seems silly it's still a problem. Here's a thumbs up for this tk be changed back.

I just got the update to oneui 3 today, and am also joining the community just to say that the new folder app layout is ridiculous. What a waste of space. I haaaaaaate when apps aren't on one page. I'll even go so far as to delete rarely used apps to keep my folders tidy. No such luck now! 🤬
I get if they were trying to make it more accessible for people who need the extra space, but at least give the option to retain the status quo! Might have to go back to my custom launcher. Samsung had finally won me back to their launcher when I got the S20. That was short lived. 🙄

My phone has just updated to OneUI3.0. I have a folder on my home screen with apps I use a lot. First page are important apps for daily routine and studying. These are purposely in sight when opening the folder. Second page are apps I use a lot but perhaps shouldn't, e.g. social media, and are therefore purposely out of sight when first opening the folder. There are exactly enough apps to fill both pages as it looks neater.
So all of this is ruined now because Samsung thought it to be a good idea to make it 3 icons across with no possible customisation. I searched for a customisation button for a while before googling this issue, as I couldn't imagine they would actually change this without the possibility to amend it yourself. It's maddening!

Yes please add this back. The new OneUI 3.0 has also disabled the Good Lock Task Changer which offered a much more intuitive Card Style Display and UX for multi tasking than the default switcher.

I agree with this request and also just created an account to reply. Folder size was better with the 4 icons across and now it's annoying to access the second folder page, please give us an option to specify icon layout.

I just created this account today because of how infuriated I am by this update!
Just got the update this morning and it's so incredibly obnoxious, it totally ruins your finger memory for opening apps.
I understand the intended aesthetic purpose is to keep it the same when opening the folders as when you look at all the folders but this is a ridiculous waste of space!
We should have the option to adjust the grid pattern for folders just like we do the home and app drawer!
