Folder size/layout

Please let us change icon layouts or icon sizes for folders.
OneUI 2 and 2.5 had 4 icons across, and it was a vertical free-scroll.

OneUI 3.0 is now 3 icons across, wasted space, icons too big, and a horizontal page scroll.

I can't find a way to change it, but much preferred the 4 icons across.

Can we have layout options like we do for home screen and app screen?

I registered just to post on this forum as well.  The whole idea of folders is so you can view multiple apps at a time, PLEASE add an option to change back to 4x4 layout !!

I think we need to send this into the social media, Verge, YouTube reviewers and get some traction. Everyone, please share the thread as Samsung will sit tight until they see negative publicity.

The level of frustration this is causing users is very evident from all the replies in this thread with some annoyed enough to have registered an account just to post on here.

My S10+ was just updated to OneUI 3.0 yesterday so this if the first I am seeing this as will be the case for many so this thread (and other similar separate ones) likely significantly underrepresent the number of users frustrated at this change.

Can you please provide an update on whether this has been fed back to the relevant team within Samsung and whether this is under consideration?

How on earth did this change make it through user acceptance testing? I spent my career working in IT and would NEVER have inflicted a change like this on my customers without it being an option to revert to previous appearance.

I just accepted the update to Android 11 and immediately regretted doing so - if I could reverse the 'upgrade' I would do so.

This stupid and unneccessary UI change needs to be reversed ASAP. Have you never heard the phrase "it ain't broke so don't fix it"?

I'm really disappointed that this change was made, without an option to keep the old layout. My whole layout (which I've had for 3 consecutive phones) is now ruined and I constantly press the wrong thing.

Please Samsung, either change it back or give us the option for both layouts.

I made an account here just to say how bad this was. Not a bright developer that made that choice. Back to coding for them.

This is exactly why I stopped left Apple. I was sick and tired of them continuing to take away or change the few features I liked or used without any option to change back or personalise. I thought Samsung and android at least gave you the option to customise. Bit this latest update is just unnecessary and frustrating

Add me to the list also, my s10 was fine until 2 days ago when I installed the latest update and now all my folder icons are 3 wide instead of 4. My whole layout has changed in my folders and I no longer recognise my own phone. Please fix it, this is a backwards step in development.

My phone has just prompted for this update, and the first thing I did following it was try to change the apps folders to show 4 icons across. So much wasted space and clicking on the wrong app icon. Please change this! Already 4 months since the first post too!

Just upgraded from an S9 to an S21, and wondered why my folder icons were 3 across instead of the 4 on my S9, give us the option back please.
