Stacked Notifications - why?

The new iOS-style stacked notifications in OneUI 7 are absolutely awful and far less efficient than what we had before in OneUI 6.1. Previously, I could see multiple notifications from an app grouped together in one compact card. There was no need to expand the card unless I wanted to take action on one of the notifications. Now, I can only see the most recent notification for any given app and I have to expand the stack every time just to see the rest.

This feels like a huge, clunky step backwards so please Samsung at least give us a setting to let us switch back to Android-style listed notifications instead of these stacked ones. 

I was enjoying my S24 Ultra up until this change, but I must admit, I'm seriously thinking of heading back to Pixel now.

Hi Agnieszka,

Please keep in mind that people you see commenting here and liking this post are only the ones that were determined enough to make the effort of looking for a solution to this issue online, happened to find this post and again made the effort to set up an account and make a comment. The real number of people annoyed or infuriated by this is huge but it won't show up in your higher-up's reports and pie charts.

Please fix this as ASAP as possible or at least give us a toggle to turn this off. The function of a notifications is to notify, not to stay hidden.

This update was awful. I'm constantly missing emails and messages because of this. Not only did they remove an option to revert this update, they've also implemented it in such a bad way that it's impossible to tell whether the notification is stacked or not. Like, how did this change get approved?

The update is awful in every possible way. Nothing has been improved over One UI 6. If I wanted an iPhone I'd get an iPhone. Stop trying to be Apple.

I take it still no solution to this stupid problem that no one with a Samsung phone asked for? I don't think I've been more displeased with the notification panel before this update and I've had Samsung phones for the past 12 years. Why are the system notification so big and clunky and in your face when they would usually go last and would be thinner than the rest of the notification?? Who asked for it to be like that? Plus, the stacking is so so silly. I tried putting off updating my S23 Ultra for as long as I could to not have to deal with all of this. What's the point of an update if you are going to change all of my custom settings and make them undesirable? If I wanted anything different I would have gone and done it myself since this isn't an iPhone to not be able to customise stuff yourself 🤦‍♀️

Here with everyone else to say please allow stacked notifications to be turned off and changed back to the previous notification style! I also submitted feedback in the Samsung Members app.

Please please, like everyone else I am constantly missing text messages assuming I only have one to view. This has caused a lot of issues among family and friends.

I agree. It is horrible. Please give us the option to revert to the previous ui for everything. Interface, icon design, panel setting. Inefficient and backwards.

Was this concern forwarded to dev team? Can we get confirmation that this will be resolved in oneui 8?

Give us an option to revert to the old notification style. Stop copying what apple is doing, we don't want the bad stuff from them

How is it that this has been a complaint for months and there is still no update from the devs about it?
