As a One UI 8.5 Beta 1 tester, I would like to propose adding full multi-user support to the system, similar to the implementation found on Google Pixel devices. This feature would allow creating up to 10–15 separate system users, each with fully isolated data, apps, and system environments.
Additionally, I suggest enabling the creation of a dedicated Knox container for each user. This would significantly enhance confidentiality, data isolation, and security, allowing users to separate personal data, work profiles, and potentially unsafe or experimental applications within different user accounts.
Such functionality would be especially valuable for power users, developers, families sharing a single device, and security-conscious users. It would also reduce the risk of data leakage between profiles and provide stronger protection against malicious apps.
In my opinion, one of the best real-world implementations of multi-user isolation and security is currently found in GrapheneOS. Adopting a similar approach — while integrating Samsung Knox — would position One UI as a leader in privacy-focused Android ecosystems.
This feature would greatly improve privacy, flexibility, and overall user trust in the Samsung platform.
