OneUI 8 should utilise android 16s new status bar icons,
OneUI 7s new battery icon no longer matches the design language of the old status icons making them look dated and out of place an obvious solution to this is to use the new stock android 16 status icons which are more readable and modern.
In addition to this,
Goodlock should introduce a new module (or an addition to an existing module such as Quickstar) that gives the user the ability to change the style and or shape of status bar icons (including the battery indicator)
indroducing a module simmilar to the concept above would allow users to personalise their OneUI experience even further (which is a huge factor towards using OneUI for many)
To summarise
Updating the status bar is a nessasary change because the existing one is outdated, clunky and in some cases hard to read with icons such as battery being a accessibility issue for the visually impaired.
A goodlock extension that allows users to change and tweak the appearance of status bar icons would add to user experience and personalisation.
Thank you for your consideration.

Wednesday
Bring back battery percent as text only.
It's an accessibility issue, One UI 7 broke so much accessibility that I can only assume Samsung is bigoted now
