How to delete devices from SmartThings

I keep deleting plugs that are no longer used from SmatThings but overnight they come back.

How do I delete devices permanently from Smart Things?

clear data and cache of the app after you delete devices in the app, then back up the new settings if you use back up so you don't get the old backup and devices

You might have to go into the device manufacturers app and maybe delete there so they don't sync up again.

Thanks. Tried that. The devices (all plugs) were back again the following morning. Smart Things also reports other devices are offline when they aren't. Although Smart Things refuses to control them, Alexa is quite happy to turn the on and off as is Smart Life. Smart Things clearly has problems! I think I need to uninstall it - it's useless!

Try that, the uninstalling/reinstallinng, also just like @GoanGeek said, if individual appliances have their own individual apps, remove those apps too
