Shame on Samsung ditching Upgrade Program with no notification

The upgrade program was unique and worthwhile. They've replaced it with a bog standard credit agreement offered by most large retailers. 

Like many others I will just stick with my S23U, repay my Klarna loan and see what 2025 brings.

I think Samsung has missold the upgrade program. It offered that you would always get the latest phone. That is now untrue. We have been conned.

This is crazy. I have £360 left of my Klarna payments for S23U and when I go with flex they take S23U and pay off my klarna for £360 then for S24U i need to pay £120 first payment, around £30 per month and £360 last payment. This is a rip off. I should be able to upgrade to S24U for free. I will stick with my S23U for next year...

Even on upgrade program you always had to pay upfront cost

Yeah, you used to pay £x upfront and so much for 2 years.
Following year, offered upgrade and pay off outstanding finance.
My S23 Ultra was £124 upfront, £40/ month, balloon payment at end of £375?
After a year, at upgrade, still owed £700+
Return phone, offside off outstanding.

Now, paid £200 upfront, £52/month over 14 months.
In a year, am I going to be able to upgrade? Balloon payment is around £350?

So basically before I'd paid under 1/2 price over year and upgrade.
Now, I'll nearly have paid for it and they'll give me £350-450 for phone?

Can you upgrade after 12 months?
It offered over 26 months instead.
Would you be able to upgrade in 12 months if you took it out on that?

Nothing was clear at all, they've stuffed up big time

I have faced the same issue. 12.months after signing up to Samsung Flex I have been fobbed off by customer services that i can only walk away and hand the phone back sometime in 2025. Hang on. Thats not what i signed up for? Breach of contract and misrepresentation comes to mind. Escalating complaint...will keep you posted.
