That's normal or something wrong when put my S20 ultra 5G on wireless charging pad strat charging 3 or 2 cm about from pad. Wireless share power it's off.
This is a normal operation. For the phone to charge properly, it should be in direct contact with the charger. However, the charging process may begin earlier if the phone is close to the charger 😊.
It detected the charger and prep for charging, as it is active for charging the notification display. It is also possible that it is actually charging from a short range as there's already an over the air charging system in testing.
