Are the new gestures working

I find that I can not see running apps. The swipe up and hold to see all running apps only work when I'm in a app. If all apps are minimised and I am on the home screen, I can not swipe up and hold to see the recent apps!

Is this an issue I need to log?

I just checked on my phone.  If I swipe from bottom and hold it I can see the opened apps. In both cases, when all are minimised or active. 

I would double check the setting for nav bar gestures and if all ok turn it off and on again to recheck.  If that wouldn't help then yes report it.

you should definitely report it! The gesture works without problems on my device. Let the developers check why is it happening.

I did as Leon24XXX suggested, and note that its temperamental and very slow to respond. Is this normal use?

It might be related to the Beta Programme, but to make sure it's always better to send a Beta Feedback, so the development team would immediately know that there are some problems.
