Hi all,

I recently purchased the Xcover6 Pro and I REALLY REALLY love it.

But I think I wasted my money because all the USA based carriers are now switching over to eSIM only meaning that the Xcover 6 Pro doesn’t support eSIM.

I purchased the phone from Europe and I already made the 5 to 10 minute calls from my European SIM card.

Since it doesn’t support eSIM, do you think I just wasted my money on a useless phone that will probably won’t work in the USA?

And just an additional question.

If I go into any T-Mobile store in the USA do you think they will be able to remove the Region Lock?

I already made the 10 minute calls here in my country region, but I have know idea if it’s still Region Locked.

Hi @AV24

Making a 5 to 10 minute call in the country of origin using a local sim card would remove the region lock.

No, a local ee store wouldn't be able to remove the region lock.

You'll know if the phone is region locked if it does not accept your own local sim card.

You have posted on the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk  / Eu members.

You would be better helped by speaking directly with your chosen local Network Customer Services Team directly to ask about support if and when the changes are made.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
