Why can't i block txt messages that have no number only a word

I receive a txt message on my S8 and when I try to block it I can't.  I tap the 3 dots >settings>block numbers and  messages>block messages but I can't  add  any words or phrases or txts.

The phones software is set up to use a phone number to block either for calls or texts @Queenbee007UK 

 

You could try looking in the Playstore to see if some form of app exists for blocking.

No it gives me choice of
Block Number Or
Block Phrase.
When I click on block phrase option there is no + add phrase.

Yes this came up a short while ago from another person too.

 

Samsung have abandoned the phrase options.

So why have it as an option in the settings menu. I know you can still block words or phrases on the S7.

Android 7 had it but when I upgraded to pie it was suddenly gone 😞
