Can someone tell me the easy way.    why is it some of my texts are blue and some are green ?

Blue means the message is sent as an RCS (basically Android version of iMessage) and green is standard SMS

Personally I turn off RCSCommication Texts @ladyblue50 

Settings > Connections > More Connections > Turn off Rich Communications.
