When troubleshooting an issue, I was required to do a master reset, so before I did this, I did a backup on the Samsung Cloud. I was then able to restore this onto my phone with no issues, all my apps/wallpapers/settings and photos etc were carried across. The master reset hadn't solved the issue so it was then found that the phone had to be sent in for repair. I repeated the backup steps and did the master reset, foolishly without checking on another phone, assuming that it had worked correctly as it had the first time. However this backup was tiny in comparison and as a result I have lost all of my photos (amongst other things, but this is the thing I am most upset about). I am borrowing a phone (also Samsung) temporarily while my phone is in for repair and only this 2nd incomplete backup is appearing in my options to restore the data. However, if I log into my cloud using the Internet browser, I can see the original larger backup saved as a "temporary" backup. How can I access this?! Samsung support don't seem to be able to help and the temporary backup is due to expire in about 10 days and I don't know if I will get my phone back before then. Can someone please help! I'm really gutted if I lose all my photos, especially when it is all within sight but I don't know how to get it!! 😭
