No EU SIM Card Only sticker on original box anymore

I just purchased a Galaxy Xcover6 Pro (UNLOCKED) as a backup to my other phone and I noticed that there are no more stickers on the box similar to this image.

I also asked the sales clerk to see if it had this sticker on the box for the other newer phones such as the S25. But there was nothing on it either.

Would this mean that Samsung has removed their Region Lock requirement?

Samsung devices are still absolutely region-locked.

I have personally never seen this sticker. But I know for a fact they are still region-locked in terms of updates. I believe SIM cards are a little different.

To get the best information on the specifics, I would reach out to Samsung directly to confirm.

European SIM card only" refers to a device that is designed for use with SIM cards from European mobile operators. Region-locked Samsung phones, on the other hand, are restricted to use with SIM cards from the region they were originally intended for, which can be a broader scope than just Europe.

Anyways, just to be sure, I made a 10 minute call from each SIM card slots using the European SIM card to remove the Region Lock.

My other concern, suppose I take my phone with me from Europe to the USA which means that the phone will not receive OTA Updates even if I'm on a Wi-Fi network?

Samsung phones aren't region locked but when you first set it up it needs a SIM card for the region you brought it in. So if it's a EU model it sets the CSCS code up correctly. Check about phone, software information. Then look at Service provider software information. It should be set to EUX. As long as that is correct it will still update if you went to America.
