First things first put your screen into split screen then when it's opened you can access edge panel and from recent choose the app keep your finger down on it and drag it down I've uploaded a video for you for to see if that will help you in any sort of way 👍
All these apps are my recent what I've just this minute opened You leave them in the background do not close them all down then it should work with all recent apps
