I'm thinking of buying a Samsung phone and was looking into transferring settings and so on, so arrived at Smart Switch. I thought I'd have a look at it on my old phone in the hope I could see exactly what level of control I would have over what is transferred.
The first thing I noticed was that it insists on calendar and contacts permissions but I absolutely do not want it to do anything with my calendar and contacts. They are stored on my google account and will be available as soon as I install and open the google apps (I never use phone manufacturer's versions).
Unfortunately, I couldn't see what I could select or deselect either as it needs to connect first.
Can I prevent it doing anything with my contacts and calendar, or am I better off using the google backup which doesn't include them anyway?
