Phone Volume

My Samsung 8+ volume is not working as designed. I have to put the phone on speaker to chat. I need help to sort this out

Sounds like a possible fault and if it's the S8 plus I'm guessing you're outside of the manufacturer warranty.

When it's on normal call... not speaker... what exactly happens? You can't hear them? Or they can't hear you? Or both?

@osahon: To see if this is a potential hardware issue, please head to the Samsung Members app > Get Help > Interactive Checks > Mic, and run through the instructions. Does this return any errors? If so, please reach out to our Help Desk on 0333 000 0333, or via Facebook or Twitter, where an advisor will be able to assist you further, and arrange any necessary repairs.

Hello Mitzzz998, on normal calls, the volume is always very low. People can hear me perfectly, but I am unable to hear people properly

So that would mean your mic is fine but your earpiece could be a issue. Just follow what AndrewL has said and see how you go.
