Hi , cracked screen on reconditioned out of contract phone Samsung S8 plus , luckily I was still paying insurance. I couldn't see the screen to perform some kind of backup. I hoped photos would either backup to Samsung cloud or Google photos or onto my memory card , none of this happened.

Photos create memories for us so I know how important and cherished they are.
I once lost mine due to my sd card becoming corrupted so I now auto update my taken pictures to my Dropbox account to keep them in that online vault as well as in my phone's Gallery and in my Samsung Cloud.
So if a person does not ensure things are synced or backed up to some form of vault or Cloud they do run the risk of losing their information and photos.
