Hi @babygirl50. Please remove the SIM from your phone, give the gold contact a rub then place it back in your phone and restart it. If the issue persists, it might be best to contact your network provider to see if there are any issues on their part.

Additional Troubleshooting , firstly restart your phone to see if that will it help it reconnect. if not clear the Data and cache of your messaging app,go to Settings-Apps-Messages-Storage-clear Data and cache.
You could also Reset the Network connections, go to Settings-General Management-Reset-Reset Network Connections. However may need to contact Network.
