That's how the system works on a Samsung phone @Samira6
Once you launch the app involved and start reading the messages the marker showing how many messages or the simple dot marker goes away.
You could sent send feedback via your Samsung Members App.
If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask. 😎

@Samira6: Please be aware that this is the expected behaviour of the App icon badge, and it will only be visible on the app icon until you tap on a notification via the drop down panel, or open the app itself. I believe that the logic behind this is that you no longer need to be notified of the number of new messages once you have accessed the relevant app, or interacted with a notification prompt.

Well you are right that was the case when i posted the question.
But now even if i don't read or open any whatsapp message .The whatsapp message count completely disappear.Just opening whatsapp without reading any message drop the message count from 342 to Zero.

Thanks Andrew for your response
I understand your point and yes it seems logic for some people
But in my case i don't respond or read all whatsapp messages
I just read some messages and ignore irrelevant messages
If there is anyway to keep whatsapp message count it would be great
I even considered downgrade Android 13 to Android 10 to solve this problem

@Samira6 try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
