Help with XCover4 - getting an Unfreeze code to complete unlock process

Hi, am in the process of moving from EE to O2, but struggling to unlock my phone (Samsung XCover4), have got the IMEI no., Unlock code, but need an Unfreeze code too and struggling to find this - any help direct me to right place please

Hey @JohnOrbit,

 

Is this being requested by the phone? If so, that means too many failed attempts have done to enter the unlock code. Have you tried to request the unfreeze code from your previous provider? When and where did you get the phone from?

Hi Tess, the phone isn't frozen, it works fine on my own SIM, but the process EE use to go through to Unlocking your phone, is to put the UNFREEZE code in first then the UNLOCK code, have the unlock but not the UNFREEZE

Samsung does not lock any of its devices to any particular network. You will need to contact the original service provider or retailer to request these codes.

 

Some service providers may allow you to unlock the device for a small charge or for free, whereas others may not allow the device to be unlocked at all.
