Always had an issue with random voicemail notifications I cannot clear without clearing cache or force stop.   Since software update last week, voicemail notification will not clear at all.  Reached out to Samsung who advised a factory reset to be completed.  Still have issue 😠. Can see from this community this is a long standing issue that Samsung haven't fixed.  Any software patches available to fix this bug?  Only alternative is to have repair engineer come out when not sure this requires a physical repair.  Samsung A71 model

I am having the same issue. Tried everything... Clear Cache, Clear Data, Reboot. New Voicemail Icon still there, no voicemail. I need to be able to tell when I have a new voicemail. Samsung you need to fix this.

It's a setting in your voicemail. Call your voicemail and go into settings from the menu. You can then change how you are notified, by on screen notification and/or SMS. If you select SMS you can then turn off on screen notifications. My friend had this notification on for months and we just worked this out. It worked immediately!

Curious ... I'm having this issue at the moment with iD Mobile SIM. It's clearly an issue at their end because I had exactly the same issue when I first took out the SIM-only contract with my previous phone: Moto G5 Plus. And it's just recurred with new Samsung S20FE on the same SIM! It was resolved on the previous phone by them switching off on-screen notifications and moving to SMS. But could I find anyone on their chat system that could do that today? Ugh! 😩 So ... I'll go into the settings menu as suggested ... and see if *I* can do it?! Wish me luck ... I'll report back.

Okay. It's still there! Am I missing a trick? Do I now 'turn off on-screen notifications' on my phone somewhere to fully resolve? 🤔
