After a day searching the internet, I am hoping someone can give me a definitive answer to this question: Why does the Galaxy a03 Core not support Android Auto? I have the latest build (13), so what is the problem? and, is there a solution?

That's my problem - it's 4G!

Yes, sorry. You'll need to upgrade to a 5ghz wifi handset if Android Auto is something you really want.

Apologies, I deleted my earlier comment whilst checking for accuracy. I have now checked this for the OP

Phone requirements

Your phone needs to be running Android OS 8.0 or higher, have an active data plan, and support 5GHz Wi-Fi.

I thought so but was busy verifying it for my own reassurance hence removing comment until checked.

Thank you for confirming. 👌

With further research - I think the that 5G is only needed for broadband connection using Android Auto. Connecting via USB does not seem to require 5G. I have no data plan on my phone at the moment, and I think maybe that is why the phone cannot download the app.
