Will not transfer files to Linux mint USB

S20 5G will not transfer files to Linux PC. Consistently gives error "The name 1.260 was not provided by any .service files"

 All USB settings on phone have been reset to default. 

Same usb connection works ok with another S20 phone.

Any ideas?

Linux can be spotty at best with MTP connections. You might want to try using a different port and re-installing the mtp-tools package. This package is essentially the driver that allows your phone to communicate with this type of USB device, give that a shot and see how you get on.
