Hello @crazeT 👋
I use Samsung SmartSwitch to copy across my Gallery to my new phone.
In my experience It leaves the photo's still in the previous phone's Samsung Gallery.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

To transfer individual photos or files from your Galaxy S20+ to your SSD portable drive, you have a few options. Here’s a step-by-step guide for each method:
Method 1. Using a USB-C Adapter or OTG Cable
If your SSD has a USB-C port or if you have an OTG (On-The-Go) cable or USB-C adapter:
Step 1: Connect the SSD to your Galaxy S20+ using the USB-C port or OTG cable.
Step 2: Once connected, your phone should detect the SSD. Swipe down the notification panel and select the "USB for file transfer" option.
Step 3: Open the My Files app on your phone.
Step 4: Navigate to the folder where your photos or files are stored (e.g., DCIM for photos).
Step 5: Select the files or photos you want to transfer by holding down on each one.
Step 6: Tap Move or Copy, then choose your SSD as the destination and paste the files there.
Method 2. Using a Computer as an Intermediary
If you have a computer, you can also transfer files in two steps:
Step 1: Connect your Galaxy S20+ to the computer via USB. Select File Transfer mode on the phone.
Step 2: Open the File Explorer on your computer, go to your phone’s storage, and copy the photos or files you want.
Step 3: Connect your SSD to the computer and paste the files onto it.
Hope this will be your help.
