i have samsung galaxy s21 Ultra and everytime i restart my phone for some reason i get a notification that asks me to enter the secure folder password, when i enter it the password of my secure folder then the notification goes away.
i just want to understand for what reason does it ask for the password of the secure folder?

thanks in advance.

I think you have to sign into the app again after each reboot to get the notifications and can then use your fingerprint to access the folder when required.

I think it basically kicks you out of the secure folder on reboot regardless of what settings you have set after initial login

I was literally just about to post this. So annoying right? Especially the fact that u can't just swipe it off. Maybe I don't want to open my security folder. ! I hate having notifications that you can't clear it really bugs me lol

Na it's not that. Mine is set to lock when the screen turns off also. It just means u have to put password in again to access it when your screen goes off. But with no notification, that only pops up when you restart it. It's like it's some kind of 'reminder' when in fact it's supposed to be a Secret/hidden folder so why are they giving you notifications telling you to unlock it?!

Hello!!

I have been having this for the past 2 months,

Honestly only started happening after i installed an app that didnt even work for bluetooth media streaming to car

Do you guys think the app is somehow trying to acess it?? I have since long uninstalled it but the security folder prompt keeps popping after restart or at least 8 hours on

And the icon and notification is slightly different but it opens the secure folder

This is by design. In order to comply with security regulations in countries such as the United States, simply restarting the phone can easily confirm whether there is encrypted content on the phone. Otherwise, it can only be verified in a more difficult way whether there is encrypted content.
