why does my phone asks for the secure folder Password?

i have samsung galaxy s21 Ultra and everytime i restart my phone for some reason i get a notification that asks me to enter the secure folder password, when i enter it the password of my secure folder then the notification goes away. 
i just want to understand for what reason does it ask for the password of the secure folder?

It maybe the settings you have set up for the secure folder e.g. when phone restarts.

It's not this because mine is set for "each time I leave the app". Yet I get it at every restart.

I don't use secure folder but if it's not a settings issue, I suspect it may be due to an app that is set to save files to or update your secure folder or maybe an ant virus app etc i.e they would need access to the folder all the time so may trigger the password request when you start up the phone? Just a thought so may be worth checking out. Hope this helps

I've just tried this on mine after a reboot and it asks for a pin to get notifications for the secure folder after a restart even though my settings are set for folder locked after screen is turned off.

no that's not it, it is set to each time i leave an app
