I am looking for a tip on how can we secure the secure folder. Its not fully secure. Becasue when we type gmail or any app on the search bar, the app opens without asking for a pin hence the secure folder is of not much use if you want to hide and protect the use of your apps if the phone is in the wrong hands..anyone can access them via the search bar.

There is no password option for Hidden apps as well.

The best way to do this would be to lock the Secure Folder after use. You can do this manually when exiting through Secure Folder > 3 Dots (top right) > Lock and Exit. You can also set the Secure Folder to auto lock each time you leave an app or after a specified time. You can set this under Settings > Security and Privacy > More Security Settings > Secure Folder > Auto Lock Secure Folder.

Should you wish to hide any apps from the Finder search bar, tap the 3 dots on the search bar > Settings > Hide apps on Home and Apps screen.
