I have a Samsung S21. Around this summer, an update arrived that caused my computer to no longer recognize the phone as a USB drive.
As a result, the phone's memory got filled with photos, and I can't transfer them to the computer.
When I connect the USB cable, the phone only starts charging. I've tried 3-4 different cables. I've attempted to reset the cache and data in the USB settings, but it didn't help. I also tried downloading the Samsung Kies program, but it didn't allow data transfer either.
I want to emphasize that I am an advanced computer user.

After trying all the steps before this one I had no joy. This step did the trick. Thanks for that!

@GoanGeek- I tried this and selected "transferring files", but my PC still doesn't recognize my phone when I plug in the USB. Am I missing something?

As time did not permit, I did not create a new post.
A few days ago I checked again and was able to see my S21 files appear in the Explorer view of my laptop PC.
I must note that my phone has received an updated several days prior, so it is now on One UI 7, Android 15 and Baseband version: G991USQSGHYF2
