Why has Samsung gotten rid of the "Repair Apps" option in the Recovery Menu?

Also, before we could just do it straight away, but now—for some time—we have to plug the device into the computer to be able to do the recovery menu.....why?

...and no, I haven't factory reset. 😀

Hi,

The recovery menu is Android, not Samsung.

...are you sure you haven't reset 😀

Hi @Jammy97  Possibly  Repair Apps  was not considered to be effective, not quite clear though.  However The Galaxy Apps Booster from the Good Guardians suite does pretty much the same thing.   https://www.sammyfans.com/2023/07/23/download-the-latest-samsung-good-guardians-galaxy-labs-app/

A theory I heard for needing to plug  Device into computer /TV USB or connecting to other Device was to prevent inadvertent changes.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Hi - *sighs*

... positive. I did the factory reset yesterday, as you know 😀, and when I was in the recovery menu, I then noticed it wasn't there.

Hi - ah thanks for that. Maybe Android should say why that's the case...why it made that decision.
Thanks for the app.
Maybe.

Ah. I used to use repair apps all the time.
Recently haven't checked it so not sure if it's removed.

Now though I don't recover my apps after Reset etc so don't really need the repair app option.
