Space bar issue

I've been having an issue with my space bar for the past few days and I don't know how to fix it. When I press the space bar sometimes it will double click by itself and add a full stop and capitalise my next word. Can someone help me? 

For example of I'm. Writhing this. It will do all the. Full. Stops by itself.

Go to keyboard settings > more typing options > toggle off "double tap space bar to add full stop"

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.
