Sound a d virus problems

Hi all I put avast free security on my phone now I'm getting 40 messages a day saying they'll close things down on the phone etc.Now I can't even phone out.It keeps saying clean up here and there and trying to charge over 29.00.Its supposed to be free.Help wase.Its a Samsung s20

Sounds like a scam, uninstall the app. Where did you download it from?

I've never had anti virus software on a phone! Get rid of it!

Take it off, use the Sansung device protection instead, it's free as well

Avast is an awful product I would never trust them. As you started having issues after installing it, I would remove it

It's in the settings, then look under battery and device care, toggle on device protection and you can manually scan or let it do it automatically. It will then run though all your apps and give you the report if it finds any malware/virus in any apps.

I did as you suggested.It says there are 3 threats but tried to direct me to one that I'd need to clean it fir 29
