Hi all,

I've noticed on three separate occasions in the space of a week that my phone seems to load slower. My WiFi is fine, I have turned it on and off from the router. But ever since updating Google Secuity it seems to slow my phone down? I don't know if it's connected or not. Maybe Android 14 is breaking down? But loading anything just seems to be slower.

Details:

One UI 6.1
Android 14
S21 Plus
Storage 190 GB free
Cleared cache

Any help would be great.

Thank you.

Please review all of the diagnostics in device care. Additionally, if your storage is nearly full, it may cause your device to run slowly and close open applications.

Very well. In that case, I suggest running a diagnostic on your phone. Are you familiar with the process? Many people are not.

I had the same issue on all my (family)phones recently.. mostly on WiFi, not loading or cutting out.

Tried the router off and on and didn't solve it.

Then read you need to power off at the mains and wait for a minimum of two minutes before you turn it on again

Tried that, and all is good now.

Do you mean device care or doing the soft restart? Or even the power off and the volume up method?

If you navigate to the "Decide Care" menu, then select "Diagnostics," followed by "Phone Diagnostics," and finally press "Test All," a comprehensive diagnostic test will be performed on your device. This can often identify and resolve various issues.
