Samsung rcs Samsung messages.

Hi please can anyone help. ? 

I'm using Samsung messages but every now and again my messages won't send RCS. It just stops for no reason at all. I've noticed the only tome it comes back on is if there is a software update. 

I've had to switch to Google messages to use this feature but I prefer Samsung messages. 

Has this happened to anyone else?.

Samsung Messages has been deprecated for a while now. Samsung is switching to Google Messages to keep things running smoothly.

Samsung Messages was a custom application designed before Google Messages did rcs the way it does now. Now that Google Messages exists, Google maintains it much better, and it connects better. The only reason Samsung Messages is still downloadable is that people complained when it was removed after two years.

So this is more of, samsung's custom rcs application is more effort than it's worth to keep running

I prefer samsung messages. I can't get RCS to work even though it is switched on.

Samsung message doesn't support rcs, even though some have reported it works

My husband has rcs on his samsung messages and never has any issues.

That doesn't take away from the fact that Samsung doesnt no longer supports it on Samsung messages

Hi.

Samsung Messages has a chat option which is their version of RCS.

I prefer Samsung Messages vs Google Messages as its prettier and looks good with my Samsung phone.

As mentioned Samsung now defaults to Google Messages as Google has now worked with Apple has well to enable RCS cross platform.

I personally don't really care about RCS as use whatsapp for communication like millions others.

If RCS is a deal breaker for you then Google messages is the way forward.
