Hello,

I'm really frustrated right now my s21 ultra has been turning off and on suddenly in the past few weeks and I went today so I could get it fixed but I just realised that 80% of my camera pictures are gone I don't know when that happened but I need to recover them

Hi @Tune Have you searched in My Files as well as Google photos? Do you have syncronisation with One Drive set up? Are you photos not backed up anywhere else. I would recommend backing up photos and files, cannot really take the chance.

Have you run the Diagnostics in the Members App to see if any issues highlighted.  Support-Phone  Diagnosis.

An idea to run in Safe Mode as may pinpoint  recent thitd party apps which may be causing a conflict,  would suggest this os the case if the restart issue not present in this Mode https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/

clearing the cache partition sometimes provides a solution as some files are unnecssary or can become corrupted.  The temporary cache files are deleted but your Data is intact.

Folow these steps:

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer or plug in USB-C Headphones , Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Can also Repair Apps from the same Recovery Menu.

Hello James,

I don't have any back-ups and I checked the space on phone its says on 8gbs of camera pictures and I noticed nothing was deleted from the screenshots folder only from camera folder.

I went to a store and they ran a diagnostic and said there was a problem with the power so I don't need to do that. I just want to know what happened to my pictures and how can I recover them

oh right, was not quite clear if the device was checked out.

Problematic though if photos not stored anywhere on device and no cloud or local Backups.

The only thing I can suggest is that  you might be able to recover using Data Recovery software,I cannot recommend any one myself though as have not needed this option but you see some information here for instance. https://geekflare.com/android-data-recovery/
