S21 ultra pen - Microsoft Office issues

Trying to use s pen on s21 ultra to handwrite emails and Word docs.

When I go to the draw menu on an Office doc everything is greyed out

On email, I can't find the option to handwrite the email

Any advice please as these would really help with work

I have got the same issue, cant handwrite in an office doc. It would be useful to find a solution for it.

Go to settings>General management>Samsung Keyboard settings and scroll down to Handwriting and enable Pen detection.

I still have the issue with Word docs though, with the op tions greyed out as attached

Glad it helped. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to resolve the Word docs issue though.

It works for me though.

Under settings > search for Spen and maybe turn on every function and see.
Don't know how it works for me though.

Thank you all for this thread.

I've also tried the solution and it did not work.  Changing the setting to pen detection makes the pen detection happen, but the draw options are still greyed out

Solution: Change the view mode on Word for android to print view instead of mobile view 

This grayed out button (if it is gray then it is active)

Bottom line: You cannot use drawing and inking in Word for android if it is in mobile view.
