until this update my phone was working fine. (one UI 6.1 Android 14 ec. Patch Level July 1 2024)

I have now damaged phone because of software issues.  wifi is disabled and not working.  I bought phone in Poland and i was out of Europe at that moment and should give my phone to the service in Turkey.

They told me that they were checking my phone and it seems my issue related with motherboard but they have no this part so they will not able to change.

however i decide to buy new phone (because it is out of  warranty but please can someone from Samsung explain how can i trust Samsung anymore to buy new Samsung phone especially your updates are damaging our Phones?

This is not the performance we expect from our devices and we take matters like this very seriously. If you haven't contacted Samsung about this yet, please drop us a PM to our @Sam_UK account and we can make sure the relevant team reaches out to you to investigate this further. Please find our guide to sending a PM below.

Dears,
Recently my phone started overheating- i have been playing simple games (not high graphics, but simple card games with low graphics) now wifi is damaged and I am not able to use wifi. Rest of functions are ok
Phone is not overheating anymore and I am not sure if it is worth to fix it.

Anyone faced similar issue?

@Aktasi So as far as I understand, your phone WAS overheating but it is no longer the case since your WiFi stopped working? If so, then you probably had technical failure of the phone's network protocole. You'd have to ask service center to diagnose your phone. It might as well be something trivial and repair cost is going to be rather low. It might also be the motherboard but then that's going to cost almost as much as around 30-50% of a phone's worth.

Hello. Many things affect the overheating of the phone, most notably the temperature. Has the phone been restarted? If the WiFi does not work at all, it may indicate a fault with the radio in the phone. In this case, the service will replace the motherboard anyway, so the cost-effectiveness is average, if we no longer have a guarantee.

Hey thanks for replys, i got feedback from the technical team: The device got hot due to restarting and immediately after restarting the user started playing.
Both restarting and playing cause intense heating, because when restarted, the device runs at maximum capacity, resulting in high power consumption.
In addition, the device appears to be used in an outdoor environment with high light intensity, and a camera is also used,
The SPA also worked to control the overheating of the games.
The temperature control limits are working properly.

So what i understand that phone had issue because I was using it. My phone has no guarantee, i think I will buy new one, but I am not sure about Samsung anymore.

@Aktasi It's more like not that it is used but in what conditions it was used. Game was launched right after starting the phone, and in conditions that can cause overheating (sunny day) and with camera. Camera is VERY battery heavy so it will also make the phone overheat. If device overheats then it's going to have problems with reducing the temperature if it's constantly used if you know what I mean.

For now, if you have no warranty, you can at least try to ask service centers about repair estimates. It might really be a lot cheaper than buying a new phone.
