How do I remove an app from a folder and return it to the App Drawer on my Galaxy S21 5G? I have tried holding and moving the app up out of the folder but that only puts the app onto the Home screen and not in the App Drawer.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Thank you! This is the only correct answer from all others here. But what a highly counterintuitive setup. Samsung guys should just add a remove from folder button 🙈

If you want to pull an app out of a folder in the app drawer, the ONLY WAY is to DRAG IT OUT FROM THE TOP LEFT SIDE OF THE FOLDER. Then it will allow you to place the app wherever you want inside the app drawer, instead of going straight to the home screen!
There are BAD UI changes Samsung, BAD!Move all apps out of the folder in this top left direction

Thank you. THIS is the only thing that works. Someone please pin this to the top of the thread!

That's what I had to resort to, delete the entire folder to remove one single app. It's a cumbersome workaround and really not good enough Samsung, are you listening?

Thanks! Solved

Sorry to dig up an old topic, but I just wanted to let people know this is still an issue.
It's kind of annoying this was marked as "solved" because the solution that was chosen doesn't work.
Anyway, almost a year later and I have no option but to delete the whole folder and remake it just because I want to move one app to another folder.
