Hi guys,
I have a really weird problem.
Since last week, shortly after I updated my phone, I have had complaints from people I call to, that they hear themselves talking to me, an echo of them voice.
I have the phone from February and before that I did not have such a problem until last week.
I shook myself in various forums, but I do not find a similar problem and its solution. Please help, because it is terribly annoying. As a primary solution, I have reduced my microphone to a minimum and so the echo is very weak and almost invisible, but from the other side do not hear me very well.

UB32 - I certainly don't blame you for wanting to move to another brand. Samsung has certainly turned a deaf ear to us. BTW - did you try rebooting the phone after turning off both variations of Wi-Fi? Rebooting seems to take care of the problem for many of us, even if it was just a temporary fix.

And that is what I do. I give it a restart every few days. It works but it's a work around.

Not that it makes any difference on the problem, but here's a recent link to another kind of problem with the recent Samsung phone series: The Samsung Galaxy S22 can lose half its value in a month | ZDNet

The fix is to give people a phone that works. Does the same s22 have this problem? If not then exchange these s21s for s22s

JustWork - I was wondering that myself! Tell ya what...since you brought up the topic, can we impose upon you to search around this site to see if you can find a thread regarding same? And then report back here - maybe even with a link. Being that the S22 has now been out for about 2 months, maybe you'll get lucky in finding something.

THIS PROBLEM STILL EXISTS WITHOUT A SOLUTION.

In answer to my own request above, I searched out the S22 series to see if this new model might have a similar problem. it does. Here's the link: S22 ULTRA - ECHO PROBLEM - Page 3 - Samsung Members
You can scroll through the pages to see the complaints. One person thought they might have fix using the Developer Mode - which is not for the faint of heart. I engaged this mode, but the item in the Developer Mode that seems to potentially work in the S22 series, is not available in the S21 series.
Again - from what I can see in the 3 short pages of complaints, the problem primarily persists when using the wi-fi calling mode. Those complaint pages will continue to grow, I'm sure. Anyone know of a good attorney? Bottom line if this ever became a real case - they'll settle, in about 3 to 5 years, with a discount coupon for another Samsung phone.
Samsung better get on the ball if they don't want their otherwise decent reputation tarnished any more than it is.

To check if it's a hardware problem, here's the procedure.

I turned off the WiFi calling and the problem went away.
This still means there is a problem and Samsung needs to do something about it.
I just found a temporary solution for now
