Photos disappeared

Can anyone help 

I edited a couple of pictures in my Gallery and saved them. They've disappeared and are no longer in my Gallery or in Google pics. They're really precious without copies elsewhere. Any ideas?

Have a look in your recycle bin incase they been deleted, they stay in there for 30days.

If you renamed the files they will be in a different place in the gallery. If your photos are sorted in order of when files are modified they will also move position in your gallery. It's most likely they will still be there but no longer at the top. I'm not sure if the sort order can be changed on your phone? Try clicking the burger menu at the bottom right of the gallery and click recent as they might show up in your recent files? Hope this helps

Are they in a folder that isn't on the main screen. See if they are in the "see all " page
