Hi guys. Advise pls.
If I buy a boxed, unused s21 with all the usual checks done.
Do Samsung uphold the warranty.
Regards

No! You will be asked to provide the retail receipt in the event of a warranty claim. Buying it sealed off a "man in the pub" or eBay doesn't count. Only time Samsung won't ask for proof of purchase is if purchased direct at samsung.co.uk/com

I will have original receipt and I will be collecting from his property

If it's a cash register receipt, Samsung wouldn't know any different (such receipt don't include personal information). However, if it's a receipt with a name and address that isn't yours, Samsung will probably deny any future warranty claim you make.

From what you say @Browny999 the phone is an unwanted upgrade.
Now I'm not in anyway questioning the sellers integrity but I have come across many people who have bought this way and then weeks or months down the line a no service shows which typically means the phone has been imei barred and wont work with any sim card. This is usually because the phone has been reported as lost or stolen to instigate an insurance claim.
In regards to the Samsung Limited 2 year warranty Google for the terms and Conditions for your region.
The UK version is https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/warranty/
" The warranty periods apply from the first date of purchase of the product. To obtain warranty service, the original proof of purchase will be required and the serial number affixed to the product must be complete and undamaged. "
