My samsung galaxy s21+ often overheats after only 15-20 mins of gaming/scrolling on YouTube. Has anyone got any suggestions on what might be going on?

First things first - have you ever Wiped Partition Cache on your device?

It is recommended to do so after each major OS update and every so often after security patches.

I perform this on my device every 3 months or so. It won't delete your data but does get rid of temporary cached files.

When you say over heating, do you mean gets warm to the touch. Or over heating to the extent the phone comes up with an over heating warning and will shut down?

Hi @Ocean_Waves_S21plus 👋

Excellent advice and suggestions by @Piper123  and @Fiona26  👍

I would suggest to try Safe Mode.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
