I have an S20 Ultra and I can no longer synch my photos from my SD card to the OneDrive Camera Roll folder. It will only sync from internal storage to a new folder called Camera and this becomes a hassle because of limited space on the internal storage and requires constant moving around of pictures and videos. I'm wondering if anyone here knows of a work around to some how get the SD card to sync again with OneDrive photos. I bought this phone mainly because of the camera and this is very dissappointing.

I think it broke again. Thanks for the detailed info, but the photos I take on the phone are not syncing into OneDrive at all/ I can open onedrive on S9 and access files and older photos, just no new ones are being synced. I then went through the instructions again, and there is no microsoft onedrive account list in backup accounts. It only will accept a Google account now. Any ideas?

Click on Accounts on top. There should be a list of a lot of accounts. In that screen press OneDrive.

Thank you for responding so quickly. , I found the account there. Seems funny, I missed it before. Anyway, I enabled media storage sync there. Still no pictures from the last week in my onedrive. I searched for the filename of a picture I took this morning, still nothing. I really need this feature.

Sorry, I'm not a tech support rep or any kind of an expert on the Android for phone operating system plus I do work all day so you may be better off contacting Samsung or someone who has better knowledge of this issue for assistance. I posted a fix for an issue that I had and I hoped it would assist anyone with the the same issue. You'll have to search through your phone and the SD card folders for the missing pictures. I use the Google Photos app also as a backup so you may want to look there too if applies to your phone. Good Luck.

I can confirm that it's broken again : I disabled any possible link between my Samsung and Onedrive/Microsoft accounts and it still won't sync microsd-stored photos to OneDrive. I paid a lot of money to get a top of the line Samsung device and I'm actually paying a Microsoft 365 yearly subscription and they just removed a feature without a single warning.
What if I'm taking a very important photo before I loose access to my phone and I just find out after the fact that my photos were not synced for months ??

Strange, for me it is working perfectly now... Not using the Samsung Cloud app.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! The option to sync photos from Samsung Gallery to OneDrive was extremely deceptive. Not only I could not sync photos from my SD card to OneDrive, but turning this option on effectively disabled syncing of all other items to OneDrive.
Samsung, this is unacceptable! Fix your crappy app and make sure that adequate information messages are displayed to end users when such things happen under the hood!

Thank you very much for the solution!!!
I truly hope Samsung will fix this. I found out by accident before any damage was done. Moved photo's to internal storage. Looked futher and found this. Took more than an hour out of my free weekend. Samsung ought to know almost everyone uses SD-card for photo storage and many, many people back up to onedrive. Lots of people are going to get in trouble with this one and get very angry when they find out about this.

Great, solution above works perfectly also for S10e - photos are now sync to SD card, parallelly to One Drive, Google photos and visible in Gallery. Do not forget to remove Samsung Account from Microsoft Account, that´s must. Thanks
