OneDrive Camera Upload & Samsung Gallery

For some reason this morning I got a notification from OneDrive saying "Your photos are uploaded with Samsung Gallery. Camera upload is turned off in OneDrive". I have gone into OneDrive and the Camera Upload option is no longer there and I have an option for Gallery sync. Toggling Gallery sync does not bring back the Camera Upload option.

In OneDrive it says under the I on Gallery sync:  Recent Updates: "Your Gallery photos and videos will be automatically synced to OneDrive. Gallery will be in charge of uploading your photos. You can adjust your sync settings in the Gallery app". This has also happened on my old S7E.

Is there any way to get OneDrive Camera Upload back?

I had the same thing a while ago and wanted to turn off the gallery sync. I googled it and found some instructions that involved removing permissions from your Microsoft account and then you can turn on camera upload in the OneDrive app instead. I was having issues with videos not uploading. Sorry I can't remember the way to do it, but Google is your friend for that! 👍🏻

Same problem today. I don't know why they push me to use Gallery sync instead of Camera upload since it doesn't really backup the pictures, just sync. I want my Camera backup back.
