One UI 6.1 update

Hello, everyone. 

I haven't been able to update my software to the One UI 6.1 since it got released. I figured that with the release of One UI 7, 6.1 should at least, be made available to me.

I use the S21 ultra. 

Also, I'm in Nigeria. I doubt that my region is the problem, because I have friends who use the base S21 and they have already gotten the One UI 6.1 a long time ago. 

What could be the reason for this?

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems installing One UI 6.1.

Have you tried connecting your device to a computer and checking for the update via Smart Switch?

Also, it might be beneficial to check your local community forum.

yeah, I tried using Smart Switch on my laptop, but it kept showing that the system is up to date.

Hope you manage to update to the 6.1 or directly to the UI 7 when it comes out. Did you both your phone directly from Samsung or via mobile provider?

I just read that One UI 7 will be completely released before the end of Q1, so I'd just keep hope something changes before the end of March.

Maybe worth checking with your mobile provider if there is any issue on their end with releasing the update as they do their own checks, and sometimes its delayed a bit further.

@Precious500: If you are unable to update your S21 Ultra to the latest Android/One UI version, then this suggests that your phone is not intended for use in Nigeria. Can you confirm where you originally purchased the device from?

Same issue on my s21 plus.

It's still on Android 12
