Moisture detected in charging port!

I've had nothing but issues with charging my S21 Ultra 5G! I've had the phone since February and initially had no problems at all. Since March my phone is constantly coming up with the warning message of moisture detected in charging port! My phone has not been exposed to moisture and I have cleaned out the charging port and even the charger end. I've followed all the steps advised on the warning message and still had no luck! My phone can be charging (when the warning message has finally cleared) and all of a sudden start with the warning noise saying moisture has been detected. If the message does not display whilst my device is charging the minute I unplug my device the message appears! I've also turned the device off and back on to see if the message clears but it doesn't! I've never had any previous problems with any of the galaxy range but this is putting me off future Samsung devices!

This is very shameful on Samsung. It has to be a software bug. The only way a fixed the issue was to turn off the phone and attempt to charge it while off. It worked; however, the same solution might not work for others.

Being the usb charging feature a very basic element of any phone of any brand, it is extremely disappointing that it happens in an expensive Samsung phone. Not even a cheap phone from the cheapest brand will encounter issues with the usb charger.

I made up my mind that my next phone won't be a Samsung. After 12 years...

sorry you had to deal with this. did you manage to sort this out? I started having the same issue this summer. it was on and off for several weeks. I like to have all my photos and documents stored on a hard drive, but since this problem,I haven't been able to download anything, and I knew that if I choose to repair it, I will loose all data. As I was always taking the phone case off to use the wireless charger, I managed to crack my screen as well. lately my phone started flickering, sometimes pausing videos on its own, deleting the texts i was currently writing.. that was weird.  Anyway I went through all the steps, including a data factory reset and the flickering and stuff went away, but the error didn't. I sent it to a a samsung repair center and they said the charging port needs replacing. but as the screen was cracked, they weren't able to change the port without replacing the screen, so I had to pay. I was told the phone will be ready in 2-3 days but it's been a week now and I have no updates, nothing.

I had to let go of all my data to get my phone fixed. I did a backup, and hopefully I will get some of my stuff back. they said it needs a new charging port. they said it's going t be ready in 2-3 days, but it's been a week now and I have no updates. I made it clear that if it lakes longer, I need t come another time, as I have to go away for 2 weeks and  I NEED MY PHoNE with me. They said it's only gonna be 2-3 days.

Now.. the QR code they gave me t track my repair doesn't work, the service order number is not recognised and the phone number I was provided for the service center is no use, as nobody answers for hours.. not to mention that I had to take the case off my phone all the time to charge it wireless and I managed t crack the screen. So I had to pay for the screen, as it's impossible to change the port if the screen is damaged. I'm pretty dissapointed.  Very frustrating, very unprofessional.

Exactly the Same issue on me 20 Note 5G ultra, been happening since last weekend. last night i had to use a wireless charge that took ages. Also I rely on the usbc port as i have a usbc to headphone jack to plug into my car to listen to my music. I'd be luck if it lasts for 5mins before the moisture alert comes in, also my son has the same issue on his S9 last night and also on my partners Fold z3 exactly the same issue. So sharing one wireless charges between the 3 of us, i wasn't a happy chappy.

If it's still under warranty, take it to a Samsung service center. I know people who said this error cleared up on its own after a while, but in my case, it was ther for weeks on and off.

We have the same issue... Both S21 phones brought from the same store at the same time, and now both phones have the moisture detected message. When you can get the message cleared the phones no longer fast charge.... When you can actually get it to charge at all...

Absolutely disgraceful for such expensive phone...

Contacted Vodafone but cause the warranty ended just over a month ago were apparently out of luck....

Can't be bothered with wireless charging... The time it takes is beyond a joke..

Shameful by Samsung.. Step up and get this sorted.

Im having same problem. Took to uBreakFix and they said it's three months out of warranty. Error just came up one morning. Cable disconnected, rebooted, hard rebooted, started in safe mode to clear cache, tried various chargers, switched to wireless charging. uBreakFix technician said "this is a common S21 problem." Left my phone there waiting on how much this is costing. Is it software if I KNOW FOR A FACT THERE IS NO WATER AND NO DEBRIS IN PORT?
