Is it safe to install the new One UI 6.1 yet ?
I see a lot of people are having trouble with their screen not working after up-dating their phone. This has put me off installing the latest software.

@lee815 whilst there have been some issues with screens it is not widespread (even if that does not minimise the frustrations of those affected). However if have not used a non authorised engineer in the past would suggest that the risk is minimal. The reason is is advisable to use a Samsung approved engineer is to ensure any work carried out meets Samsung's standard for quality and safety. They will also liaise with Samsung on the issues identified.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Thanks for your replies. The phone has the original screen, It even has the original screen protector. I will try the up-date in a few days when I've got time.
I've never had any trouble with previous up-dates, I was just a bit concerned about this one after reading about the screen problem.

I wouldn't risk it. The non-OEM screen issue is just a rumor. There are plenty that know they had a Samsung screen and are having the same issue. Mine came Renewed off Amazon. Not sure what that means for me, but this no touchscreen issue really sucks!
