Group texts

Has anyone else been getting added into scam group texts? How do you stop this?! I've Googled it and it states to go into group chat settings but I dont have that option. This is the text message function NOT social media apps. Text messaging that comes via the phone network.

Are you using Samsung messenger app or Googles?

Depends on what chat app your using, WhatsApp or Google Chat or Facebook messenger etc

Its the text message app that comes with the phone. Uses your phone number rather than a username within an app

Just block the number it's coming from.

Its not always the same number though and can't seem to block these group ones that's why I'm asking for help because it's not got the same settings like a normal text message

Not much you can do, sadly. Spam/scam messages have always been a thing. Gotta block and keep blocking—this happens when you enter your details onto websites, answer spam calls, etc., and get put on a database.

Go to settings and search spam protection-" General settings" will open- Protection and safety- and Enable spam protection

yup. been happening to me too. they always have 10 members in them and I consistently keep getting invited 😕
