Green Line Display Issue After Updating phone - Samsung S21 FE

Dear Samsung Support Team,

I am writing to bring to your attention a display issue I am experiencing with my Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (model number: [insert model, e.g., SM-G990E]).

After a recent software update i.e. on 21/05/2025, a vertical green line appeared on my device screen. The device has not suffered any recent physical or water damage. While the phone did experience a minor fall around 6 months ago, it continued to function perfectly without any display issues until this update... This issue seems to be affecting many users and appears to be a hardware fault triggered by the update.

Device Details:
- Model: Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
- Date of Purchase: Oct 26,2022
- Place of Purchase: online platform/Flipkart

I kindly request that you consider this under the screen replacement program that has been extended for devices facing this issue. I am willing to visit an authorized Samsung service center as needed.

Please let me know the next steps to get this resolved at the earliest.

Samsung staff don't check here. This is just for samsung device owners. You'll need to contact samsung directly.

Hi @ShantiJ, welcome to the Samsung UK & Ireland Community. I'm sorry that your S21 FE's display has developed a green line. 

There have been other threads posted within the Community that contain possible solutions. It would be worth having a read through the link below, and let us know how you get on:

@MD Wasin Ali Jinnah: I'm sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue on your Galaxy S21 FE. Does the phone boot up past the Samsung logo, or is it stuck in the condition seen in your photo? If you can boot it up, and if the display is still visible and functional, the please dial *#0*# into the Phone app Keypad, then select Red, Green and Blue from the grey tiles that appear on screen. If the lines are visible in any of these tests then please head to samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the screen > Contact us, and get in touch with our Support Team via your preferred contact method, and an advisor will be able to arrange for the phone to be inspected by an authorised Samsung engineer.

 I have two Samsung S21 FE 5G ,one Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G green line display issue !!! Can Samsung company help me?

Hi,
people who are having issues with green lines... just go to Samsung service centers, they will tell you the solution and take purchase invoice(mobile purchase bill) along with you for safer side(u dont need to roam twice)

I went to a service center gave my phone for repair also Samsung replacing the screens. FYI there are few terms and conditions as well***
Better go to Samsung authorized service centers, know yourself
