Anyone else having this issue? I've tried every suggestion from Google and Samsung. I have a list of updates that will "download" but won't "install" (just comes up with an error saying can't install this app while trying to install).

If anyone has a fix please do let me know!

The only thing I haven't tried is a master rest and getting Samsung to have a look at it.

So just to add onto this, I did the Factory Reset and the issues cropped up again after I recently updated my phone.

I disabled the Device Scanning (McAffe Anti-Virus) by following this link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_m2Lis1xxI, and all apps are downloading fine again.

Hope this solves other people's issues

Same here. This has been affecting my phone since last 2 months. I did favtory reset for 4 times. Did hard reset. Removed google account, cleaned playstore, play services. In short , everything mentioned on this planet to fix this issue. After favtory reset it updated all apps but the same problem starts after few days.

The only option left is sell this phone and buy a phone that can update and install apps.

Just disable the McAfee anti virus as above.  If you are worried about security you can always just re-enable it after the updates.  Just have to follow the same process again when more updates are required.  Its a pain but I'm sure Samsung are working on a fix, just have to be patient.

Yes, Same here in India.

What's the matter with Samsung Flagship products. Seriously need a permanent fix. Or else give full refund of the product.

Hey Zeeman, your solution works for me.

But device security is at risk, if we keep it disable.

Thank you, sir!

I was having this issue a month ago, have tried every single option Google has suggested and ended up with a factory reset, which solved the problem.

Until a few nights ago, I turned on the Samsung security (powered by McAffe), the problem returned! I was so frustrated and couldn't imagine that I had to go through the whole factory reset nightmare again.

I searched through places and finally found this solution that I've not tried, and IT SOLVED THE ISSUE!

Thank you so much!

Then turn it on after you've installed the app. Just disable it when you want to update/install. Your device, your choice. Source of the problem is still Samsung though.
